Wanda jumped head-first into the world of spas back in 2000 and hasn’t looked back since. She began her career as the Marketing Director for Santé Spa in Calgary, Alberta, overseeing the expansion of Canada’s first medical spa. She also served as CEO of Leading Spas of Canada back in 2009. As a freelance writer, Wanda has a regular spa trends column in Homefront Magazine, and writes for several publications, including Examiner.com, Spas of America and more. She also works as a marketing consultant for luxury lifestyle companies.
As the panel’s travel expert, Chris has a wealth of knowledge in the travel and tourism industry. As President of Travel Marketing Experts, he works within a large breadth of the tourism industry, including airlines, resorts and tourism wholesalers, to offer a range of sales and public relation services. Using his background in journalism, Chris has two regular columns in TravelIndustryToday.com, titled “The Ryall Report” and “The Spa Scene.” He also freelances for publications such as Yahoo! Travel and The Toronto Star.
As the previous Executive Director of SIAC, Lori’s passion for the spa industry has shown through in every aspect of her career. During her five year term she oversaw the organization’s operations under its trademark name Leading Spas of Canada, including its Quality Assurance Program, which strives to hold Canada’s spas up to the standards that partners and clients come to expect. Lori knows full well the expectations of running a spa in Canada, having worked as Spa Director of the Temple Gardens Hotel and Spa in Moosejaw, Saskatchewan, and as the general manager at the Muskoka Resort in Ontario.
As Assistant Editor of Spa Inc. magazine, Hermione has spent more than two years talking to and writing about Canadian spas. Having assisted with the Canadian Spa & Wellness Awards last year, Hermione is eager to apply her enthusiasm for the spa and journalistic eye to the judging process.
